The Immersion Begins

Wednesday’s orientation was the “Course Orientation,” and today I went to get my badges made.  I’m officially a nursing student now
WOW. No course content, just some overview about what is coming and the rules around everything. You know, things like when lecture assignments are due, who to call when you’re late.
One of [...]

and they call me Grace

-Turn on the outside water spigot
-Start to step away, catching your foot in the coils of hose
Proceed to drag the hose with you as you keep stepping, trying to regain your balance
-Finally, turn the nozzle end directly toward your face, creating a facial bidet, obscuring your glasses and cleansing your lower sinuses.
That, dear people, is [...]

Exhilarating!

…that’s how I would describe today.
Yea, definitely very exhilarating!
Wow, this is going to be a fun, exciting, and intense two years.  There is SO much, but it is going to be SO interesting.
Today was quite ‘lite.’
Introductions, info on rules and policies, dress codes, and other administrative diddly.
Then we got our books, all 50 pounds of [...]

All that’s left is to show up

I think I have everything ready to start the nursing program.    All I have left is to show up tomorrow.
I have everything I am supposed to bring for orientation plus materials to take notes, etc. I’ve confirmed the dress code for the week and am good to go there.

T minus 7 days

Only one week away from the start of classes!

The other morning SU use the term ‘Lung Biscuit’ a couple times.  I’m not specifically sure what it is, even Googling [...]

One Down, Four to Go

Tonight was the last class of the last course of pre-req’s!
YAY
Only four more semesters to go!
Three very short weeks until the nursing program begins.  While not a vacation for me, it’ll be darn close.  SU has taken over most of the household duties, per our agreement, though next week we’ll share as it’s her first [...]
