School Has NOW Officially Started

These last two courses, these last ten weeks, have been as was expected; a nice little warm up to the real course-load. Last night began American History.
There will be no getting out early for any of these class sessions. We have to read about four chapters a week, have three take-home exams (short [...]

Angels Among Us - 5k Run - Update

As mentioned in a post a little over a month ago, I’ll be running the Angels Among Us 5k Run and Family Fun Walk on April 25th.  That just a little over a month away.
I’m still looking for more sponsors.  You can donate directly at the Angels Among Us website (team: Melanie’s Angel Brigade) or [...]

Whistle While We Work

Setting:  I’m changing the sheets on the bed, SU comes in and helps with making the bed.
SU:  Just think, a year from now you’ll be licensed to do this.
Me: Yea, and to wipe asses.
SU: (laughing) Right.  At that time we’ll be a couple of professional ass-wipes!
Sometimes, we’re just not right.

Two Down

Tonight was the final for the Developmental Psychology.  It wasn’t too bad, however I now have broken my streak of 100% scores.  I’m sure I missed at least 3 out of 33, even if it’s twice that I’m still in good shape for the overall class grade.
Two down, four to go.  Next Thursday starts the [...]

Dev. Psych Home Stretch

This week in class was much better.  We managed to cover one-third of the book.  We even were on track to get out fairly early.  Then Dr. K wanted everyone’s ideas about Chris Brown and Reanan.  That sort of took the tempo out of our momentum, but we forged ahead once we got past that.
Naturally, [...]

Changing…for the better?

There is a rumor going around school that starting with our cohort the curriculum will be changing.
Along with that I heard that they are removing the L&D clinical rotation.  Bummer, I was really looking forward to that one.  Contrary to the view of most male nursing students.   Maybe that part isn’t so.
I’m not surprised about [...]
